Home Screen Widgets
Widgets put your current read on the home screen: the cover, how far along you are, and the streak you are keeping alive. One glance is enough to remember to pick the book back up.
Widgets are part of the mobile app on both iOS and Android, and they are free for everyone.
| Size | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Small | Cover, title, progress bar and current streak |
| Medium | Everything in Small, plus your daily goal |
| Large | Your reading dashboard: current book, daily and yearly goals, other books in progress, reading insights and all-time totals |
On iPhone you can also add Bookworm to the Lock Screen (circular and rectangular widgets) and use it in StandBy mode.

Keeping It Up to Date
Section titled “Keeping It Up to Date”Tap the widget at any time to open Bookworm.
The widget shows the data the app last saw. It refreshes on its own whenever you open the app or change something in it — log a session, finish a book, update a goal — and the system also refreshes it periodically.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- The widget shows “No book”. Mark a book as Currently Reading in your library, then open the app.
- The widget looks outdated. Open the app; it pushes the latest progress to the widget right away.
- The cover is missing. Some older covers fail to load on the home screen. The widget shows a book icon instead; the rest of the information is still correct.
