Streak Reminders

A reading streak counts the days in a row you logged reading. It is easy to lose one to a busy Tuesday rather than to a lack of interest — you simply forget. Streak reminders exist for exactly that: one push notification in the evening, while there is still time to read a few pages.

At 8 PM in your own time zone — four hours before the day rolls over — Bookworm checks whether you logged any reading that day. If you did not, you get a single push notification on your phone.

The notification shows the cover of the book you are currently reading, and how long the streak at risk is. Tapping it opens that book directly, so you can start a session without hunting through your library.

The reminder is deliberately quiet. It is skipped when:

  • You already logged reading that day — the streak is safe, so there is nothing to warn about.
  • You have no book marked Currently Reading. There would be nothing to point you to.
  • You turned the preference off.

You never get more than one streak reminder per day, even if you have several books in progress.

  1. Open the mobile app and go to Profile → Notifications.
  2. Toggle Streak Reminder.

The setting is per account, so changing it on one device applies everywhere. Streak reminders are available on every plan at no cost.
