Public Profiles

Public Profiles let you choose how much of your reading life to share with the Bookworm community. By default your profile is private — you control when and what becomes visible.

Setting Up Your Profile

1. Go to Profile → Public Profile Settings (web) or Profile → Perfil Público (mobile).
2. Set a username (3–30 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores).
3. Write a short bio (up to 300 characters).
4. Set Visibility to Public to allow others to find your profile.

Tip

Even with a public profile, you can hide specific information using the toggles below.

Privacy Toggles

Toggle	What it controls
Show current read	Whether others can see the book you’re reading right now
Show content warnings	Whether content warnings are displayed on books you view

What Your Profile Shows

A public profile displays:

• Your name, username, and bio
• Your active title (from Achievements)
• Stats: total books, books finished, reading streak, badge count
• Top genres you read most
• Your current read (if enabled)
• Last 5 recently finished books

Finding Someone’s Profile

You can navigate to a profile by:

• Clicking a member’s name in a Book Club
• Visiting app.bookwormtracker.com/profile/username directly

Private profiles return a “not found” page to protect privacy.
